On behalf of the Organising Committee, we are delighted to invite you to the TAFE Australasian Library Conference (TALC) 2013 to be held from Thursday 21 November to Friday 22 November in Brisbane.
The conference theme "Adapt-Change-Evolve" was chosen to reflect the challenge TAFE libraries, and all libraries face to stay relevant in today’s ever changing climate, and celebrate the fact that we can and do evolve.
The Organising Committee is committed to delivering a relevant and exciting conference program and providing a forum where library and information professionals and students, as well as representatives of our suppliers and system developers, can have the opportunity to discuss, debate and network with colleagues from Australia and overseas, hear about the many exciting developments in our profession and check out the latest in products and systems by visiting the trade exhibition.
A great venue, the Auditorium at the Southbank Institute of Technology offers facilities which are state-of-the-art. Located near Southbank Parklands, the venue offers a convenient and exciting location for delegates and sponsors. Close to the Brisbane’s CBD and a variety of attractions such as museums, galleries, parks, beaches, entertainment, restaurants, cafes, shopping and business precincts. For those who wish to go further afield, public transport is readily accessible.
We invite you to mark these dates in your calendar and plan for attending the conference and even extending your visit with a holiday.
More information will be published on this website as soon as possible about the conference program.
We look forward to welcoming you to the TALC 2013 Conference and to Brisbane!
